At our school, we encourage all students to participate in regular competitive sport. The value of competition is in striving to achieve. We applaud winners, we recognise success, but we believe participation is the most important element in sport and physical activity. In Years 9 to 12, students participate in a variety of sporting activities to suit their interests and skills. Our school has a record of success in sports including netball, softball, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, soccer and touch football. School carnivals in swimming, cross-country and athletics are held each year and students who qualify by performance are nominated for Zone, then Area and finally State levels of competition. As with all sport and physical activity initiatives, participation is the most important step so carnivals cater for all levels of fitness and performance.
